When connected battery voltage is at low level (after sunset or in dim sunlight), a sudden heavy load connected on the inverter drops the battery voltage below the preset solar-to-grid changeover volt and the charge controller shifts the connected inverter load to grid power. It will only be shifted back to solar mode automatically the very next day when the battery is fully charged.
